Our core belief centres on the idea that children flourish and learn best through play, setting the stage for a lifelong love of learning. While we draw inspiration from renowned educational philosophies such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and the curiosity approach, our primary focus is to tailor our curriculum and teaching methods to best support the unique needs of our current group of children.
What truly sets us apart, however, is our remarkable and dedicated team, who have become an integral part of
the Chairbears family. Their loyalty and hard work have been instrumental in our success.
We believe strongly that children always come first, very closely followed by our educators. We are proud of having a low employee turn over, with high longevity across the board and with four of our team reaching the incredible milestone of ten years service in 2024, proudly making us a family, not just a team!
We take great pride in offering a ‘home from home’ experience, creating a close knit community network where every child feels valued and cherished. Our ethos isn’t just followed but deeply ingrained in our entire team, from management to apprentices.

Our purpose-built setting boasts four spacious rooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide a ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Your child will feel comfortable and secure from their very first day.
Sensory Room:
We take special care of children with additional needs, with a dedicated sensory room and a Level 3 SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to ensure tailored support and inclusive learning.
Indoor-Outdoor Experience
Our garden room ensures that children have continuous access to fresh air, regardless of the weather, promoting outdoor play and exploration while staying comfortable and safe.
Community Connections:
We’re nestled int he heart of Deptford and boarders of Greenwich, giving your child the opportunity to experience the rich multicultural community. Regular visits to Deptford Market provide cultural learning opportunities and a glimpse into local life.
Exploration and Learning:
Our commitment to education extends beyond the nursery. We take your child on enriching adventures to the local library and parks, fostering a love for learning and exploration.

We offer an array of extra curricular sessions such as yoga, multi-sports, Spanish and forest school to enhance your child’s development interest.
